What a week it has been! I am sitting in my office today, Saturday January 28th. Scrolling through the newsfeeds, I can barely breathe. Immigrants being stopped in NYC airport. Reading very small minded views about other people. Lack of compassion for others. I am just speechless in what the first week has been like and staying in prayer for guidance for what’s is next. Watching our country be set back so many years. I have nothing but fear inside of me today. And so, the song in the background playing is Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind”.
The principles of this song come through so loud and clearly. “When the work you put in is realized” …our work in this life should be for others.
I love you ain’t no pickup line” while the context in the song is about men/women relationships, saying “I love you” to other people is so powerful and fulfilling. “When you get where you’re going, don’t forget to turn back around and help the next one in line”. What more can I say?
For the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control“ And these fruits will be rewarded to those of us who love each other. “ Galatians 5:22-23
If we can just live the values of Heaven.
As it is in heaven, so let it be.
